AuraX Contact Staff 2.0

AuraX Contact Staff 2.0 is a fully programmable smart LED contact staff designed for contact staff, classic flow, stage performance, juggling, and professional visual shows. It combines the balanced feel of a real contact staff with modern LED technology and the new AuraX2 control system.

The illuminated ends create strong, clear light trails while keeping the center comfortable for contact work. Depending on the selected length, the staff contains up to 210 ultra-bright LEDs, giving you detailed animations, smooth color transitions, and custom programs prepared in IgnisStudio.

📱 Control via Wi-Fi and the AuraX app

Thanks to built-in Wi-Fi, you can control the AuraX Contact Staff from your phone, tablet, or computer. The device connects to your hotspot or Wi-Fi network, and the web control interface can be opened via aurax.local. In the AuraX app and web interface, you can see connected devices, their IP addresses, battery status, signal strength, and easily switch between them.

The control interface gives you quick access to light ON/OFF, program START and STOP, effect settings, brightness, colors, speed, and synchronization. Uploaded programs can be deleted or reordered directly inside the device, so you can prepare multiple routines and choose the right one before or during a show.

AuraX2 supports synchronization of multiple devices at once. This allows you to start programs together, turn lights on or off, and match effects, colors, and speed within the same synchronization class. This is useful for duo performances, group shows, or combining multiple AuraX props in one choreography.

✨ Effects, colors, and LED FX

AuraX2 includes live effects that can be used without preparing a program on a computer. You get 46 light effects, 29 ready-made color palettes, and the option to create your own color combination. Colors can be selected easily using a classic color wheel.

LED FX expands AuraX2 with live audio-reactive control via computer. With the external LED FX software, the AuraX Contact Staff can react to music in real time, changing the lights according to sound, rhythm, and intensity. This function is available only when controlled via PC.

🎛️ IgnisStudio - custom shows matched to music

The AuraX Contact Staff can be programmed in IGNIS STUDIO, our software for creating custom pixel shows. You can import images, graphics, logos, and visual elements, set the pixel count of your device, create a project, and start building your own light choreography.

Individual images and effects can be placed on a timeline and matched to a music track. The preview helps you see how the final show will look in motion. Finished programs can be saved, edited again, shared as projects, or uploaded directly to the AuraX2 device.

This makes AuraX Contact Staff suitable not only for live effect control, but also for carefully prepared performances where every moment of the light show is designed in advance.

🔄 Firmware updates

AuraX2 supports notifications for available firmware updates. This makes it easy to see when a new version is ready with fixes, improvements, or new features. The latest firmware and update information can be found on the AuraX upgrade page.

🔧 Contact staff construction

The AuraX Contact Staff is built around balance, durability, and real handling. The body is available in duralumin or carbon. The duralumin version is slightly heavier and offers a classic solid contact feel, while the carbon version is lighter, more impact-resistant, and includes additional weights and rubber end caps for better balance and USB port protection.

The LED ends are protected by clear polycarbonate tubes, which provide strong light transmission while protecting the electronics inside. The end caps are made from impact-absorbing recycled rubber, helping to protect both the staff and the floor during drops.

You can choose the grip that best fits your style. We personally prefer the soft EPDM grip for comfort and control, but the choice is yours. Every contact staff comes with rubber tassels / rotation dampers. If you do not want them, simply leave a note with your order, and if you later decide they are not for you, they can be removed.

Charging is handled via a modern USB-C connector. The battery is protected against overcharge, deep discharge, and short circuits. Charging time is approximately 1.5 hours, and runtime depends on brightness, selected colors, and the type of effect or program being played.
